TRADITIONAL BALLISTIC CONSTRUCTION VS. BALLISTIC PLYWOOD
Weight can complicate
handling and construction.
Specialized systems can be
difficult to plan and integrate.
Material, fabrication and
installation costs can add up quickly.
Ships and handles like
standard building material.
Designed to be cut, drilled,
fastened and incorporated into
conventional construction methods.
Significantly reduced installation
time and labor costs over
traditional systems.
Up to 65% lighter than certified fiberglass/Kevlar ballistic panels at comparable
protection levels, based on published market weight ranges.

FORMAT
Matches standard plywood dimensions for compatibility with existing framing layouts, planning, and material handling.
INSTALLATION
The plywood face accepts standard fasteners and adhesives. Works with familiar construction methods — no specialized cutting/drilling tools or training required for the panel itself.
CONSTRUCTION
Plywood forms the outer faces, with a LifeGard™ ballistic panel between them and factory-bonded into a single, ready-to-install unit—no on-site assembly required.
PERFORMANCE
The finished protection system requires correct product orientation, seams, penetrations, transitions, fastening, structural support, and adjoining construction.

Yes. Arctic Fox is accepting direct orders for available Ballistic Plywood configurations. Product availability, quantity and shipping timing may vary by configuration and destination.
Shipping timing depends on configuration, quantity and current product availability. Your order confirmation will provide the current expected fulfillment window. Ballistic Plywood is in its initial commercial release, lead times may vary. We will not represent an order as ready to ship until supply and fulfillment are confirmed.
Current pricing is shown with each available configuration. Freight, taxes and any special delivery requirements are calculated or confirmed separately as applicable.
Ballistic Plywood is a large-format construction product. Shipping method and cost depend on quantity, weight and destination. Orders may ship palletized by commercial freight. Larger orders may receive a project-specific freight quote.
Ballistic Plywood is a bonded panel product that combines a standard plywood layer with a ballistic panel layer into a single construction unit. One product. Standard sheet format. No assembly required on site.
Both configurations use the same plywood layer. The difference is in the ballistic panel. Level 3 is for handguns up to 44 magnum and Level 8 is rifle-rated up to 7.62 x 51. The right choice depends on the protection objective for your specific project — refer to the product documentation or contact us directly.
No. The plywood face is exactly like standard construction plywood. The Arctic Fox LifeGard™ protective layer is concealed inside the wall assembly. There is no visual indication from the finished interior that the panel is installed.
Yes, the panel itself is handled with standard construction methods. No specialized tools or certifications are required for panel installation. The assembly process — seams, penetrations, transitions, and fastening — does require attention to the installation guide. Correct orientation of the panel within the wall assembly is essential.
The plywood face accepts standard fasteners and compatible adhesives. Fastening into the plywood side is the builder-facing surface — the same approach used with standard structural panels in a wall assembly.
Yes, the panels can be cut without specialized tools. Cutting, trimming, and field modifications are addressed in the product installation guide. You receive the full documentation.
Yes. Arctic Fox LifeGard™ protection layers have been independently tested to UL 752 ballistic test methods for Levels 3 and 8 by Element U.S. Space & Defense in Belcamp, Maryland. Configuration-specific performance data is available in the approved product documentation.
No. There is no minimum order quantity, but because of shipping costs, ordering in volume is typically more economical once your project is ready.
